Om kurset

This is an in-depth course for those who want to learn more effectively in a busy workday. The course provides insight into how the brain learns and covers topics such as focus and attention, effective study strategies, and how artificial intelligence can be used as a learning partner. The goal is to show how AI can support learning and reflection in a way that strengthens your own thinking—not replace it. In this course, you will learn to: -Understand why information intake is not the same as learning—and what it takes for knowledge to actually stick -Understand the brain’s role in learning, and how working memory and long-term memory interact -Recognize what hinders and promotes learning, such as stress, multitasking, breaks, and productive struggle -Consciously use attention and metacognition to guide your own learning process -Choose learning strategies and time management methods that work in a busy workday -Use AI as a learning partner in a way that strengthens—not weakens—your own thinking and expertise Academic foundation: The academic content is drawn from open, research-based learning resources at nextlevellab.gse.harvard.edu. Furthermore, the content builds on the course “Learning and Memory in the Brain: A Guide for Teachers” from the University of Cambridge and the course “How to Learn Online,” both of which are available on the edX learning platform. We have also interviewed and gathered insights from Olav Schewe, a researcher and renowned author. Learning objectives:
